Throughout the OT & the NT, Hospitality (the opening of our homes and our lives to others, even strangers) is central to the expression of God's love and kindness towards our church family and to the wider community. Looking at the verses that refer to Hospitality, it quickly becomes obvious that this is both counter cultural for those of us who live in the UK (not renowned for for our open homes) and is to be expressed by all members of the church, whether you are married or single, employed or even unemployed. Hospitality is not dependant on the size of your home, but the size of your heart.
