Foundational to the life of New Community are our small groups which we call 'Life Groups'. These are located in Sidcup and the surrounding areas of Mottingham, Eltham, New Eltham and Chislehurst and consist of 10 to 15 people.

Life groups gather each week to encourage and support one another in their spiritual journey as well as their everyday lives. Life groups are a place to 'do life together': living, learning, eating, playing, and resting together. They also provide a fantastic opportunity to reach out to those who don’t know Jesus.

The Alpha course is a fantastic environment in which to ask any questions you may have about the meaning of life or about Christianity. Over two million people have attended the course in the UK and over ten million worldwide.

Each Alpha evening is set over an informal meal and includes a brief talk on areas of Christianity, followed by time for discussion and questions.
